Paradox Crossing (PDX for short) is a band whose songs have a far-reaching range in musicality, with influences as diverse as hard rock, jazz, heavy metal, funk, blues, R&B, gospel, world beat, and punk. Despite this, they also have a quality of outstanding focus and artistic precision - in JP Salamanca's multi-faceted lyrics, the seemingly natural chemistry of the group to stand as a whole, and the band's unwavering consensus to create a style that is all their own. Says JP, lead songwriter and frontman: "We are a group that is proud to represent the Pacific Northwest, and more specifically, the Portland, Oregon area. For just like this beloved city, our eclecticism, our differences, and the variance between all of us, simply does not matter - what matters is that we use that diversity to our greatest advantage: to entertain, to enlighten, to inspire. Our name takes after the beloved American Bridgetown for that very reason. We're going to bridge together a common humanity that, in our current world, has been shattered and torn apart."
