I am PISUTICHAI YEO, the founder of PISU-18 STUDIO. I am also a fanatic of high grade music. My heading towards this direction owes to a lot to the influence of my father and second elder brother since young. I used to follow my father to shop for LP (black LP) when I was in Secondary school and ever since then, I grew to like music and enjoy listening to songs. During my high school days, I used to study the Hi-fi equipment together with my second elder brother, who was fond of recording and used to record songs from LP to cassettes. Following him, I became very keen on recording too. When I was twenty one year old, my brother passed away due to liver disease and my pursuit for music recording has stopped for five to six years ever since. I began to pick up the interest only after having own family and own space, not forgetting the influence of my Hi-fi fanatic friends. Out of my expectation, my "returning" means frequent upgrading of top-grade equipment. And there I go, becoming a top-grade fanatic too. How do I step into the world of re-mastering and re-mixing recording ? My music fanatic friends, who are using top grade equipment, usually comment that CD, unlike black LP, cannot satisfy them in their quest for good sound effect, especially the CD or oldies and Hokkien songs. Music lovers usually like not only good music from good production but also their childhood oldies complied into CD. However, the normally painstakingly found oldies (CD) are not even near the performance of black LP. I face the same problem too. My fanatic friends and I like the natural, atmospheric, subtle and roundness in sound but this expectation can be found perhaps at the Analog system (of black LP). I owned top grade CD player, Digital DA and connection wire and I wanted to enjoy the sound effect of CD like that of black LP. Therefore, I began to look for recording books and equipment, in search for the necessary production methods and equipment but they were not successful. It was only after seven years of research and experiment that I managed to find the right method and equipment. At last I can reproduce the Chinese and Hokkien songs of the earlier times and upgrade them to top CD, having the sound effect that is near analog effect, rounded, subtle, natural and atmospheric. I name this recording formula M A R - D, which means MASTER ANALOG RE-MIX DISC, and use it as the trademark of my PISU-18 Studio. PISU-18 STUDIO is a re-mastering production and recording company. Beside re-mastering and upgrading old songs, PISU-18 also re-mastering for new production and upgrading old songs, bringing up the quality to MAR-D formula 24 Bits /192 kHz recording, to meet the top grade Audiophile Gold Disc production.
