SkylineTime Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Slick Romney is not trustworthy.
iluvnug Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Diplomacy is the answer to keeping good relationships with Islamic nations. Instead of making enemies with the Islam by bombing, invading, occupying, or propping up dictators, we need to talk, trade, and lead with good intentions. There will always be extremists who want to do harm to the world, but sinking to their level will be our downfall.
bluesscore Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - He didn't give the oath of duty. Nice hyperbole though
bluesscore Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Ron Paul? Give me a break. America can not withdraw from the world like he wants. YOu can not eliminate the IRS and replace it with nothing like he wants. Ron Paul is a crack pot.
iluvnug Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Economically we can't sustain an over extended empire. It is simply impossible. History has shown that the greatest empires either fall or recede. In order to maintain an empire, we borrow money from foreign entities or just print more. Both of which are problematic for our economy. Instead of name calling, why don't you lay out some factual arguments.
coolerdoncooper Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Sure you can withdraw from the world. Before WWII we weren't deployed in other countries all over the world like we are now: germany, korea, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo etc... and we were still the world preeminant power. As an economist I can tell you that we can tax on the state level rather than the federal level and the difference would be a HUGE cut into our disposable income and less federal beaucracy.Oh yea: not to mention the way things are now are unconstitutional.
coolerdoncooper Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - Sure America can. Of course he still advocates diplomacy but not physical presence in Germany, Korea, Afgh, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kosovo etc...As for the IRS: is position is actually high school level economics and as an economist I don't any reason why taxation can't be done at the state level. And oh yea: it's constitutional. I love it when Paul mentions the constitution and the others just snicker like " oh yea well that doesn't really matter any more"
soberminds Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - I think it's terrible how they cut off Ron Paul and just laugh at everything he says. And then they talk over the moderator repeatedly.
Steve197201 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - God bless Ron Paul for having the courage to go to these debates and stand up to these neocon candidates who spout out the propaganda.
newmanfan1224 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - i dont think people in the navy uphold the constitution lol thats for the people in washington
janet77777 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - go ron paul.
wayfarin Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - i really wish ron paul formulated his answers better in this debate. when you watch him do stump speeches, he is so eloquent and controlled and thoughtful. here, his answers sort of came out as a jumbled mess.
SJSR45 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - "I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" Naval Seamen don't take this oath of enlistment? also, McCain has been elected 7 times and the elected officials have (basically) the exact same oath as the US Military Oath of Duty, to uphold the Constitution. So I think its pretty clear that he forgot or purposefully omitted it. which is sad
kneelio321 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - the only one who isn't some slick tricky bastard is Ron Paul. and he isn't just not bad, he is an honorable man.
kneelio321 Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - i love how everyone fights ron paul, the rebellion against reason would be funny if it were another country.
jdcall23 Says:
Jan 7, 2008 - What happened to personal accountability America? Our policy is the reason for terrorists actions against us.
filoIII Says:
Jan 7, 2008 - planned attacks to cut and interrupt him
Swmorgan77 Says:
Jan 7, 2008 - Kagan is CFR.
clarisd Says:
Jan 7, 2008 - Mc Cain would have our troops in Iraq for 100yrs if need be, his statement on a town meeting possted here on youtube. He his to much inside the Box. He would have us go to Iran as well. Also know that Russia is suppling and bulding the Unclear Plant in Iran.
nuggetcat Says:
Jan 8, 2008 - George Bush helped Al Qaeda by destabilizing Iraq. Al Qaeda has nothing to do with Iraq besides benefiting from our focus there while they escape to Pakistan. McCain loves to throw more boys into the fire of Iraq because he doesn't want to "lose" this unwinnable war and look like it is pointless and misguided which it is.
Justice1337 Says:
Jan 10, 2008 - Ron Paul looks like a complete moron in this discussion about foriegn policy. He's just grabbing at straws when he accuses Juliani of painting all muslims with the same brush.
fullclip16117 Says:
Jan 11, 2008 - Everytime Mitt Romney speaks I hear the theme song of "Flipper" in my head. -J.
etsschu Says:
Jan 17, 2008 - Ron Paul is right on. I just hope that America realizes it before it's too late.
AnuarFakihFakih Says:
Jan 18, 2008 - GO RON PAUL 2008!
IncredibleGoliath Says:
Jan 6, 2008 - That was a serious whack Huckabee got in against Romney. Total silence for a second after it.
