Feb. 7 - U.S. stocks finished higher for the first time in four sessions as bargain hunting and merger speculation lured buyers back to the market. The Dow rose 46 points to 12,247. The S&P 500 gained 10 points to 1,336. The Nasdaq rallied 14 points to 2,293. Conway Gittens reports from New York.
