This new upload of Angelina's final rondo coincides with my future series of highlights from Rossini's "La Cenerentola" in the framework of my collection of belcanto comic music. As the piece is not truly comic (more sentimental in nature) but particularly affecting and well-performed in this rendition, thus I decided to post it separately. The heroine is sung by Joyce DiDonato just a few years into her spectacular career, and it's a wonderful achievement in all possible respects. The conducting by the famous Rossini scholar, Alberto Zedda, and the work of the orchestra and DiDonato's vocal colleagues also merit special mention. In short, enjoy :)!
