Jan 24, 2008 - Hi Diana. When I was little I was in the Beavers, then when I was a little older the Cub Scouts & then the Adventure Scouts. I like the smell of frying bacon haha. Whenever I smell it my mind goes back to when I would go to stay with my grandparents. I'd come downstairs in the morning & my grandma or grandad would be standing there pleasantly cooking away for someome. Good memories. Great video, I enjoyed learning more about you. All the best.......Jon.

Jan 25, 2008 - Ah Diana - I'm still smiling even though your video stopped playing some time ago. How much I love hearing your memories, little gifts of your life like charms on a bracelet. BTW, I received your card some time ago - so lovely! I have it propped here on my desk. And I mean to answer...and will...but in the meantime I leave you my Cheshire smile :) The sweetest of wishes...Sarah

Jan 25, 2008 - Come on now. You're an english teacher. You said "Me and another teacher", you must mean "Another teacher and I". Wink LOL

Jan 25, 2008 - Conversational grammar has a proper time and place. Personally, I chose not to be a grammar Nazi. I do not correct the grammar of people I talk to unless they are my students or have a grammar related question. If I choose to ignore a grammar rule in conversation I have made a conscious choice. When correcting someone's grammar make sure your own grammar and punctuation usage is without error. Please, don't comment on my ability as a teacher unless you have seen me teach.

Jan 25, 2008 - You might have written your comment it jest but I found your words to be a little cutting. I appologize if my reply to your comment came across a little strong. I appreciate you watching and hope you will continue to do so in the future

Jan 25, 2008 - I felt the same way when I watched your video where you shared five facts about yourself. Our likes and interests seem quite similar. I am pleased to have met such a fine friend. Your control of writing as an art is glorious. I enjoy reading your words as much I as I love reading the words of Adrienne Rich. You got the cards?! Fantastic! I am glad you received them. Feel free to write back if you like. However, please, feel no obligation to. Knowing that my cards made you smile is all I need.

Jan 25, 2008 - Thank you for your kind words. You were able to see my eye shadow? Awesome! I was hoping I didn't use too much. I bought an eye shadow set last week that had all shades of green. I used an emerald green for my eye shadow in this video. I was pleased with the product as well—even if I might have looked a little like an 80's rock star. You like old books too? Awesome! Thanks for watching!

hintgiver Says:

Jan 25, 2008 - Thank you for watching! The smell of frying bacon reminds me of bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll--a breakfast they do well on the streets of NYC. Thanks again for watching and all your kind comments.

Jan 26, 2008 - Awesome video! The girl who I "cross-dressed" with in high school was an eagle scout. I like to consider myself "strategically helpless" aka lazy. ;)

hintgiver Says:

Jan 27, 2008 - I just LOVE, love, that you put cross-dressed in quotes. How awesome! That made my night. I missed out one some merit badges because I am naturally clumsy. At a summer camp I was going to get a rifle merit badge but I coun't hit the black bull's-eye enough times... okay, I think I hit it once. But I mean come on! He he he. I wonder if the girl scouts would let in TG children. I know the boyscouts wouldn't. I should write a letter.

Jan 28, 2008 - it was really interesting to know!!!

Jan 28, 2008 - Thanks! I am glad you liked it! Thank you for watching.

Jan 30, 2008 - JUST KIDDING!!! Jeesh, it's far to easy for comments to be taken the wrong way on here, though I thought the wink, and the lol, might have offered a hint that I was kidding. Please chill a bit.

Feb 10, 2008 - I love the smell of old books. You're adorable. :)

Spytrxter Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - I too love the smell of old books - our cellar is now my Library and my favourite room in the whole house, partly because of the absence of sound, but mostly because of that unique smell of old paper. I have a question as a fellow teacher though - seeing that you are TS, how did the parents react when they met you for the first time? Here in England you wouldn't be able to get a Job, not as TS - they'd have you wear the proper clothing according to your passport-gender.

hintgiver Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - They really are! Then again I am a bibliophile and love all kinds of books! Thank you so much for showing me your Lincoln books. They were really cool. I see your into yoga too!

hintgiver Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - Thank you! Green is a fantastic color!

hintgiver Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - :::blush::: Thank you so much. When I am in a used book shop I really feel relaxed. I feel like going book shopping now!

hintgiver Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - Nice to meet another bibliophile and thank you for watching and your thoughtful comment. Good question. The thing is that I am a teacher and I love teaching. I am so fulfilled when teaching and I enjoy the work so much that I need to make a compromise with what I do so much. I crossdress when I go to work. I need to wear a male dress-shirt and a tie. I need to wear dress pants and not a skirt or dress. TG people are coming into the public eye in Japan so I answer I lot of questions.

hintgiver Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - Part 2: If kids need an explanation for an GLBT issue or something similar I explain the situation as I see it to help them be thoughtful, loving, caring, and accepting individuals. I than tell the parents exactly what was asked and exactly how I explained things. Parents have been appreciative since most of them havent even begun to think how to answer such questions and they feel I answered such questions in a very positive way. I hope this answered your questions. Peace, Diana

Spytrxter Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - thank you Diana for your answer. I know that Japanese Culture is far too complex for us to understand and many layered and that they are far more open about sexuality than we are, but I wasn't sure how that translated into this area. You got to love kids though - they are so forgiving and accepting. You can tell exactly what kind of upbringing and background they have just by watching them interact with kids that are 'different' to them. I worked with special needs children upon recently...
