Jul 30, 2008 - Never take a car off the lot until the financing is finalized. They will tell you its ok to take the car but don't do it. Also forget trading in a car you have, you never get what its worth and if you still owe on it they many not pay the car off and you are on the hook for that. Finally its best to get financing ahead of time from your bank, credit union or in-line institution. Don't use the dealership unless they can beat the rate, which they usually can't.

Nov 21, 2008 - I only have experience with their used car sales department. I have NEVER been in such a high pressure environment in my life, and the constant trickery when trying to leave such as "What if I could sell you this ($30K car) for $22K out the door, would you be willing to sign the papers now?", to which if you answer yes they jerk you around for another hour and then explain they were just asking hypothetically and I had to raise hell to finally get my damn driver's license back!!!
