Where does Christianity come from? Was Paul really `the founder of Christianity'? Did he, in other words, invent Christianity as we now know it Conventional wisdom ascribes the responsibility for Christianity as a religion to Jesus Christ - after all, it is named after him. But what if conventional wisdom is wrong? More than one scholar over the years has suggested that perhaps Paul should be regarded as the true founder of Christianity. Can a case for this position really be made? The importance of Paul to early Christianity and the formation of the New Testament can scarcely be exaggerated. Representing the Muslim perspective was Shabir ally: Shabir Ally holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature, and an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Quranic Exegesis. He is now in his third year of PhD studies in Quranic Exegesis at the University of Toronto. Shabir is the founder of the Islamic Information and Da'wah Centre in Toronto, Canada. Representing the Christian side was Rev. Clifford J. Forward: Rev. Forward is a non-denominational Christian, He's 'been a student of the Bible for over 40 years. He delivered nemorous lectures on the Bible, and recently lectured in Atlanta Georgia. He has traveled and taught the Bible in various parts of the world including the following countries: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Ecuador, USA and England.
