** READ THIS BEFORE WATCHING ** What started out as a Beckington vid, ended up as something completely different. On that note, it also went from romantic to extremely SAD after the transition. The vid itself is an original idea (unless I have a brain twin somewhere and they've already written this fic). Norrington (who was never Commodore to begin with) goes to Cutler Beckett for a job. Cutler gives it to him - to watch over Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow and make sure their hijinks don't cause the EITC too much trouble. While on his job, he gets into even more of a mess. He falls in love with Elizabeth. But, when it comes to James Norrington, the job means more than the girl. Cutler is kind to him by means of giving him anything he wishes: money, titles, weapons, etc. Elizabeth is just a girl, even if he does love her. He plans to marry her anyway, but is called away by Cutler and sent on another mission, away from Elizabeth. This could all be due to Cutler's jealousy and the feelings that he harbors (albeit secretly) for Norrington. In the end, Cutler orders James to have Elizabeth drowned. He chooses between his life and hers. I'm not earning any money from this. It all belongs to the Mouse!
