Jul 8, 2008 - for some ppl its easier to bust the power chords from top string... i've seen that even in world class bands
musicforaliving Says:
Jul 8, 2008 - well it's just my opinion but i think it sounds better... sometimes the sliding sounds good too but i think in this song it would sound better because the higher you play the less "punchier" the power chord sounds, you know what im saying? just my opinion

Jul 18, 2008 - 4/5 just because as well as the playing i've got to reate the video, and the sound quality of the recording wasn't great

Sep 15, 2008 - Did you lose your pinky in a horrible accident?
ebonwyvernknight Says:
Sep 18, 2008 - uh guys...im 95% sure that guy has his "pinky"he just has it curled back if you know what i mean.
xerogamma Says:
Sep 22, 2008 - He should be using it, not curling it back. He should also stop sliding everything. He should also be alternate picking.
joallabear Says:
Oct 9, 2008 - 007 cabinet?
Moddex Says:
Oct 9, 2008 - It's probably his own developed style. He may not have enough control over his pinky for it to be of any use when playing, so he tucks it out of the way for more mobility and tension of his ring finger.
Rael0505 Says:
Oct 11, 2008 - Own style? I'd call it lack of experience and technique. It all comes with practice... I used to play this way too. He also needs to rest his wrist somewhere on the guitar so it's not just floating.
satansguitar Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - where did you get those tabs?
loquitogusanito Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - The alternate picking is most defenitley a problem but the pinky who gives
Rael0505 Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - It's imperative to use the pinky when starting out if you want to develop good technique. While it may not affect his ability to play an easy song such as this, it is necessary to use it for more difficult songs.
freakguitar1 Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - why you guys discuss about his playing technique? if its a problem, its HIS problem. and as long as you play with pinky and use proper technique, you dont have ANY problems.
Schattenhieb Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - Thanks. I think its not a problem at this song. I like the slides. Maybe some people dont like how it LOOKS like. But it sounds good and I don't care.
Rael0505 Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - I'm not discussing his technique with anyone. I'm giving him advice to improve. When I started out, I was willing to accept any criticism and advice more experienced musicians could give me, and because of that I improved more quickly than I might have otherwise. My comments are polite and constructive. Don't tell me I'm being rude by helping him improve as a musician. Comments like yours, on the other hand, only promote stagnation, by telling him his technique is fine when it's obviously not.
Rael0505 Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - I also want to add that I know that this video is almost a year old, and that I'm sure he is much better than he originally was in this video.
freakguitar1 Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - oh man, i didnt mean that in a negative way :D maybe i should have added some smileys to clear it up. no bad feelings m8. and dont thumb down so fast :P:P:P btw, i dont think he wants to become one hell of a shredder.. thats y i didnt give advice. i think if he wants some, he will ask for it. :)
Rael0505 Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - I owe you an apology then, I guess I misinterpreted you. Hope there are no hard feelings. :) Thanks for checking out my videos, I'm going to check out yours in return ;)
