May 13, 2008 - all these years later, this song still has a lovely melancholy about it. Love those Hollies

May 18, 2008 - You said it,Prog.Elliott was sadly underrated in my book-one of the greats of that era-and check the bassist-he is playing some nice stuff, too. And what is really remarkable is how great their harmonies were- especially considering there don't appear to be any Vocal monitors-never figure out how the bands of that era managed it!

May 19, 2008 - Vielen Dank, Fritz. This is a priceless live performance. The studio version of this song contains some of the tightest harmonies ever recorded by an all-male rock band. Their vocal blend is stunning to this day.

Jun 4, 2008 - Wow, these guys were really great live. Much better than The Beatles, I hate to admit. Boy, how great looking is Allan Clarke! Oh my god! These guys must have pulled in the girls back then!

Jul 5, 2008 - 5 I was; how great is that and with the Hollies at their best too?
majerjack Says:
Jul 5, 2008 - What a great resource is YouTube! I never had the opportunity to hear the Hollies live, and I never heard them play live on film or on tape. It is good to hear that they were a great live band, essentially sounding the same live as on record. Not many performers in popular music can make that claim. This is my favorite Hollies song.

Jul 9, 2008 - OMG! What a serious jewel this one is. I loved this song (actually every song the Hollies ever did) but this one was just such a great display of their musical talent. Thanx for bringing it to the generations that followed ours. Maybe now my son will understand what I meant about "awesome music in my day" lol

Jul 22, 2008 - Bobby Elliott is just fantastic in this performance! I always despair when I see 60s bands miming to their tracks cos bands like The Hollies had such killer instrumentation!

Aug 9, 2008 - Bobby Elliot invented modern Rock N Roll drumming. I love his style. Nobody played like that back then. I hear Gilson Lavis, Stewart Copeland and Pete Thomas in his playing. Amazing control and very creative. Most people also don't know he played drums on nearly all of the early Kinks songs as well.
spikepedestal Says:
Aug 15, 2008 - I gotta agree Mr Toddy. When I was learning to play drums many years ago, Bobby, along with the Jam's Rick Buckler, Moonie and Ringo was a massive influence. A pleaure to listen to!
