Feb 13, 2008 - my schools doing this song too. Mr hazo played the song for some of the people in county band when my friend aaron made the comment that we were playing it. the story behind the song is beautiful and it only adds to the emotion of this piece.

Feb 17, 2008 - This past weekend I was in the WVU Honor Band and we played this song. We got lucky though because Samuel Hazo was our conductor. If you ever get a chance to work with him, do it, he is an amazing conductor and composer. And there is a woderful story behind this (and and many other) song.
