This video belongs to the Raise Your Hand! No Games Movement (ryhnogames@gmail.com), which captures the Historic Hill District community testifying at the City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission Hearing on Dec. 11, 2007. Our goal is for proper and full reinvestment to the community; and, in short, we don't think it's right for a rich, white corporation to receive hundreds of millions of dollars in corporate welfare, public subsidy (tax paying dollars) for extensive private revenue with little going back to the city, let alone the community. The speakers are from the Raise Your Hand! No Games Movement, Hill District clergy, the Hill Community Development Corporation, the One Hill CBA Coalition, Find the Rivers, the Hill House Association, Terrace Hotel, the Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP), One Hood and a purposefully vague statement from District 6 Councilor Tonya Payne's office aide, Carmen Pace. We will see what the City, County, Penguins and our direct political representatives will have to say on this issue. The next showdown will be January 14, 2008, 2pm, 200 Ross Street. Please support our cause and meet us there!
