Well, troops being sent to America is mentioned anyhow. So many of use can get the picture. But Antoinette probably had a slightly worse reputaion.

Oscar is somewhat attracted to Antoinette (and this feeling is not just out of her duty as a loyal guard or simply friendship). Oscar can see into the mind of Antointte and know how she feels. That's why she postpone offering her opinions several times. This subtle ambiguity is one of the interesting things of this drama.

Mar 12, 2008 - I can come up with 2 explanations: 1)Oscar is attracted to the opposite personality -Antoinette would be a lovely girl next door if she weren't the princess/queen; 2)she feels like a knight beside Antoinette - being a knight for a princess is part of her "masculine" upbringing (in an 18th century context of course).
