Apr 12, 2008 - I look condescending towards anyone who believes it acceptable to kill others.

rosenbej Says:

Apr 13, 2008 - obviously your comment was intended to be antagonizing. i know plenty of "conservatives" who seemingly couldn't care less about the people who actually die in iraq. supporting the troops takes more than sticking a magnet on your SUV. polarizing comments like yours distract from the real problem: we have a war going on that the majority of the american public (liberal, moderate and conservative) is apathetic to. its a travesty that americans are dying for a cause few seem to care about.

drperi1 Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - I support our troops. Period. Please dont try to "second guess" my political stance. This is about our military men & women. As to the post below, you may kill to keep your buddy alive, even though you do not support killing. Please try to keep in mind all of our enlisted men & women, now & before, are not necesarily blood-thirsty killers. Also, those that make the decision to kill are not necessarily the soldiers. who support death & dismemberment.

rosenbej Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - My point was we should be focusing on supporting the troops in words and actions (funding health benefits, opportunities for them when they return, etc...) Divisive comments like yours just alienate people and create needless hostility. I fear when this war is over the rest of the country is going to turn its back despite the sacrifices. And there wasn't exactly any "second guess(ing)" you explicitly attacked "liberals" suggesting you view the world through a liberal/conservative dichotomy.

rosenbej Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - don't get me wrong, I agree with much of what you said.

drperi1 Says:

Apr 14, 2008 - our troops, you little idiot, receive benefits throughout their lives- if enlisted, then through a VA or if life-long, at any hospital in the world. The military offers huge opportunities whle enlisted to learn a trade, etc. Go sign up then speak. Until you & the rest of these morons learn geo-poitics from more than sound bytes you have no background from which to speak. DON'T COMMENT TO ME. IT WILL NOT BE READ. DIVISIVE?? BIG WORD HERE. LEARN YOUR HISTORY, DIP.

rosenbej Says:

Apr 15, 2008 - OH YOU DISAGREE WITH ME YOU'RE A "LITTLE IDIOT"...NICE LOGIC Let me point out your stupidity: 1) this isn't really a matter of geopolitics (only sort of) --- go look up the definition. It's not like divisive is really a big word, besides at least I used it correctly. 2) you might want to look up the definition of history while you are at it. take a look what happened to many of the veterans after vietnam. they didn't exactly meld back into society seamlessly, did they? yes there was a draft

rosenbej Says:

Apr 15, 2008 - you have to at least be intelligent enough to acknowledge that much of the general public is apathetic to what happens to veterans when they return. 3) if you don't think that there is a huge amount of criticism of veterans health benefits --- think again. do you actually know any veterans? the VA system has improved, that doesn't mean it can't be further improved. 4)if you exclude higher ranking officers, veteran's incomes lag that of the general population if you break down by racial group

soal9999 Says:

Apr 15, 2008 - Veteran's benefits aren't bad, certainly things are not perfect. From a more philosophical standpoint I find the treatment of vets by the general public ranges from great respect to hostility. Plenty of apathy.rosenbej may not be completely on the mark but at least he seems to care. That aside, if you(drperi1) meant your last post to be ironic--you are a genius. Otherwise, maybe you should be tested for a learning disability. Also, FYI: Iraq war - Geopolitics Veterans benefits - Not Geopolitics

May 7, 2008 - IF you don't support the troops, PLEASE>>> PLEASE! feel FREE to STAND in FRONT OF ONE. Great song, by the songwriter himself... Townes. RIP my dear dear lost cowboy... *tear* Another wonderful song by Townes: "If you needed me, I would follow you just to ease your pain..."

paulstar35 Says:

May 8, 2008 - GOD bless our troops! guide their bullets straight and keep them safe. I hate how a few bad apples make people think the whole military is bad. Im only 17 but just last year my friends and i had i pro-troop rally right in front of the anti-war protesters the whole town supported us so fight on keep us safe back home. GOD BLESS THE USA!!!

cumfiesta69 Says:

Jun 2, 2008 - Fucking Bush killed these guys for nothing.

bearsbugs Says:

Jun 2, 2008 - Great job Strat. I loved it.

usmcpitboy Says:

Jun 10, 2008 - A veterans income more than lags. Infact enlisted military qualify for food stamps and things of that sort. Yet I still did my time. Although most of the public is a"pathetic. Our gov. is not and the VA system has yet to improve at least thats what ive noticed while trying to get my half assed benefits. Its been over a year and I havent even recieved a phone call to tell me how things are going on my claim.

usmcpitboy Says:

Jun 10, 2008 - The rest of the country has already turned its back. And those opportunities you talk about are already in play. Its just getting the governments grubby hands to let us have a few thats the problem.

MinnowBelcher Says:

Jun 16, 2008 - HAng tight. It took two years before I heard back, but then I was back paid for the two years since getting wounded. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. But it is a long journey. How are you feeling?

usmcpitboy Says:

Jun 16, 2008 - Every day sucks. Im ornery as hell and meaner than a rattlesnake. I cant take my meds cuz it only makes the nightmares worse. I can barely get out of bed cuz of back and knee pain, and im only 23. I just try to remember I was born naked and hungry. So everyday I wake up and got something to eat and have clothes on my back is good enough for me.

ChrisinMO Says:

Jun 27, 2008 - You're a long ways from "normal" Steve when it comes to logic. All I have to say is just wait to see what happens if a liberal is President. Hope you don't care about money, your health, or being some religious radicals bitch. It's way bigger than your little stupid war comment. Think roadside bombs in our cites and GOD forbid, the Big One! I guess Bush would be a criminal President if our cities were being bombed and he didn't "protect us" from that!

ChrisinMO Says:

Jun 27, 2008 - One thing I have noticed about Liberals, their hindsight is always 20/20 or better!!!!!!!! Think about the freedom you enjoy and SHUT UP!!!!! Shallow people like you PISS ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

roby62gtr Says:

Jul 21, 2008 - Hats off to these 50 lost lives.

wjwmusician Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - I enjoyed the song, you do a good job on it. It's one of my favorite all-time TVZ classics, and I've been a fan of his for quite a few years. Too bad he died at such an early age. I won't EVEN wade into a political discussion here, but I will say that those who have died in this,or any other war deserve to be remembered and respected.Hope you like my version as well.

strat2caster Says:
