Sep 5, 2008 - may i ask. clearly you see how Jesus is refered to as God in scripture which is a huge contradiction to what JW teach so why are you still in the limbo about what is right or wrong?

wizzy812 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - I wouldn't say I'm in Limbo. I don't think we are goin g to be judged adversely by whether we know Jesus or God 100%. Jesus said we are judged by our works. "Those who did good things a ressurection of everlasting life". (John chapter 5?) I think everything Jesus did and said and thought is what God thought. Basically God was the Word.

GodisHoly474 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - my friend the truth is we will not be saved by our works.Romans 3:21,Ephesians 2:8, 2Timothy 1:9 All our righteous deeds are like filthy rags Isaiah 64:6.We cannot be saved by what we do.Only by what Jesus has done on the cross and the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.2 Corinthians 5:17, PLease it is crucial that you understand this.

wizzy812 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I've never beleived a person can earn everlasting life. What does John 5:29 mean?

shoe6464 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Jesus is Jehovah: please read 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

GodisHoly474 Says:

Sep 8, 2008 - There Jesus is talking about the ressurection to life and the ressurection to eternal death.Revelation 20:12-13 The ones who are born of the spirit do the works of rightouesnes Galatians 5:16-25 Romans 8:5-9 Because they have been born again.John 3:3.They do those good deeds becuase they have been regenerated which is only something God can do.The other group are the ones who decided to reject Jesus and continue living in sin. They ressurect to eternal judgment and torment.

Psjustin Says:

Sep 10, 2008 - we are not judges by our works..look up ephesians 2:8-10...This throws out the doctrine of salvation by works..

shoe6464 Says:

Sep 10, 2008 - yeah i know , but you guys believe if ur not working for the "organization" when Armageddon comes, you guys will be annihilated. you guys are rule by fear, see bible believing Christian do good works because because there been saved. Not to get saved. In other words the jw's motivation is wrong.

Psjustin Says:

Sep 10, 2008 - i am not a jehovas witness....lol

sephiroth9009 Says:

Sep 21, 2008 - What the hell? Who the real Jesus, it's Jehovah son. Jehovah is the god, and Jesus is his son.

cadacualsabe Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - sorry shoe, check your translation, 1 tim 3;16, states "he", not "God" was manifest yes Jesus having lived in heaven before was made flesh Isaac Newton wrote about that verse calling it an example of corruption in scripture

cadacualsabe Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - phil 2;9 math 28;18 rev l;1 hebrew 1;5 does God need to be "given" power, knowledge, authority, exalted to a higher position? who gives him the power,? 1 col 15:28 why did satan tempt Jesus,? can God be tempted to be unfaithfull to himself? impossible!! what is more sacrificial love, to give ones first born son, or a part of oneself, like arm or so?, the trinity denies Jehovahs LOVE John 3:16 Jesus never claimed to be God, did everything, not for his own glory but that of his father.,

shoe6464 Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - Jesus is Jehovah: please read Job 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. John 6:19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

shoe6464 Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - JESUS is Jehovah! please read Exo 3:14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." Joh 8:59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

colgoltbolt Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - death to the christians!

saltshaker0316 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - You have listed quite a few points. I would like to address at least one. "What is more sacrificial love, to give ones first born son or a part of oneself" and then you go on to say that the trinity denies Jehovah's love quoting John 3:16. God and his ways are higher than ours. He uses things we can understand to explain his points just like Jesus did when teaching in parables using examples that his followers could understand. (cont.)

saltshaker0316 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - (cont) father. These descriptions help us to understand Jesus a little better. Yet it would be foolish to limit God and say Jesus is a son like little Johnny is a son. Jesus sonship was very different as was his life and his death and resurrection. He was unique. Jesus was much more a part of his father than a fleshly son is of his father. He was much more than an "arm". The trinity proves God's love. (cont)

saltshaker0316 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - (cont) Throughout the Bible the scriptures show that Jehovah and Jesus are one more than in union. Many passages attribute certain acts or qualities to Jehovah alone, yet Jesus also possesses or performs these same qualities or acts. Many passages in Isaiah particularly (though not exclusively) signify many things unique to Jehovah alone, yet we find that Jesus also fulfills many of these qualifiers. We know that Christians as well as Israelites are not polytheistic, yet Jesus is (cont)

saltshaker0316 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - (cont) God (Isa 9:6) not a God. Jesus received worship and did not refuse, he was called God without rebuke, he even was in danger of stoning for blasphemy by claiming his deity. If you honestly look at the entire bible without bias, there are enough verses to warrant belief in the trinity. They don't fit well with the idea that Jesus is just a God, but the only one true God. (cont)

saltshaker0316 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - (cont)I urge you to look at the entire counsel of God. If you are in doubt, remember we now still see through a glass darkly (1Cor 13:12)but upon Jesus return it will be clear as day.
