Celebrating my 150th video uploaded to YouTube, I decided to make a montage of all the Robot Masters from the first 7 Mega Man games. But to make things particularly interesting, I limited myself to the basic Mega Buster - the default weapon. And if that wasn't enough, I also never used charged shots after gaining that ability in games 4 through 7. Some bosses were pretty easy, while others were very, very difficult. Elec Man and Slash Man were the toughest. Accompanying the montage is a nice selection of remixed tunes from the games. All the songs for games 1, 2, and 3 were found on OCRemix.org. Most of the songs from 4, 5, and 6 were from a website I found called Kingdom Hearts Insider. The exception was Gravity Man's song, which I found on ThaSauce forums. Three of the ones from 7 were from a collection of songs made by (or gathered by, it's unclear) SSNTails. Slash Man was found on Esnips. The full song credits are in the final video, but here's links to the pages I found them on: http://www.ocremix.org/quicksearch/game/?qs_query=mega+man http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/browse/R http://forums.thasauce.net/viewtopic.php?t=417 http://www.treeweasel.com/~SSNTails/music/ http://www.esnips.com/doc/0231c9c6-a6dd-4741-b4e0-1a6fd96a1daa/Mega-Man-7---Slash-Man-(Teck)

Feb 28, 2008 - Did you play each of the individual games, or did you play this on the Anniversary Collection? Also, are you going to do the X's?
BikdipOnABus Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - It was all done on roms. I have no way of recording off a console. And no, I don't plan on doing the X games, because I hate them. They're too hard.
CidLuneth Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - Eh, the only thing I hated about the X games is how they just got stupid after about...the fourth one or so. I don't think they're that hard, but I hate playing them on Emulators and trying to record (because I always fuck up), and I have no way to record them from a console. In any case, that was all quite impressive. I imagine you can't do Mega Man 8 because it's on the Playstation?
DivineRyu Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - Why no Megaman 8?
BikdipOnABus Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - I tried to do 8, but I couldn't find an iso of it. I do have a PSX emulator if that's what you're asking. I also didn't really like that game. Hell, I don't even like 7. But I figured I'd include it anyway.
BikdipOnABus Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - I answered this in another comment, but I'll say it again - I couldn't find an iso for it. That, and the fact that I didn't really like MM8 or MM7. The only Mega Man games I like are the ones for the NES.
CidLuneth Says:
Feb 28, 2008 - Quoted for truth. xD I hated Mega Man 7 and 8 both, respectively. I think that was the time when they were simply running out of original and interesting boss concepts.

Mar 1, 2008 - Awesome job!! I would get murdered if i only used the normal x-buster XD

Mar 24, 2008 - The MM4-6 tracks you used were from "Rockman Complete Works" (individual rereleases of the first six Mega Man games on the Playstation in Japan), by the way. Great job!

May 25, 2008 - cool.

Sep 27, 2008 - You said in a comment 7 months ago that you prefer the NES Megaman games over 7 and 8. Did you know Rockman 7 has been remade in the NES style? Search for "Rockman 7 FC". I only owned #3 from the original series. Working through them now, just finished 1.
BikdipOnABus Says:
Sep 27, 2008 - I knew that actually, and I have it. I tried Burst Man's stage and couldn't beat him, so I didn't bother playing any more. I might try it again sometime though.
