Republican Dino Rossi recycled his tired stump speech into the latest missive in his relentlessly negative, no-new-ideas campaign for governor. Viewed in the context of his record, Rossi's speech actually represents a "State of Denial."

Feb 7, 2008 - According to Democratic State Auditor Brian Sonntag, gregoire's Department of Transportation has not made relieving traffic congestion a priority, in spite of our state's traffic problems. Democratic State Auditor Brian Sonntag is leading an important effort to eliminate waste in, and improve, state government. Many of his recommendations, including making congestion relief a priority, have yet to be implemented.

Feb 9, 2008 - Dino Rossi... What about a douche bag.

Feb 9, 2008 - Hoping idiots stay out of the elections this time. High schools have surely worsened in the past few years. After I graduated in 2004, AP classes were being dropped and the number of class periods went from 8 to 6 for lack of good funding.

Feb 10, 2008 - Nice propaganda. Tell me again, who's running the "relentlessly negative" campaign?

Feb 29, 2008 - It looks like Dino Rossi is already taking advantage of the internet and is off to a good start. We need somebody who can balance the budget like Rossi does.

Mar 31, 2008 - It isn't a lack of funding, it is misuse of funds. Idiots are people that vote for corrupt socialists.
smpheartjac Says:
May 23, 2008 - GO ROSSI!!!

Jun 15, 2008 - I am doing my best to vote every friggen Republican Bush-dog OUT OF A JOB in Washington State! Vote for Obama 2008!

Jul 7, 2008 - Wiskawind Your stupid and I doubt if there is anything anyone can do about it.
DeckerGMillar Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - Just having Cher singing the backround music sets the scene for the lying propaganda that is to follow.
GOWASHINGTONSTATE Says:
Aug 6, 2008 - And what do you think Gregoire's campaign is based on? The "truth"? "Facts"? Deepening state deficits, skyrocketing spending AND tuition? Something tells me Gregoire used to like Cher (who reached the peak of her popularity while Gregoire was in her 10th year in State politics?)
DeckerGMillar Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - That's what I'm talking about..., What happened to that tax dollar revenue and the huge surplus that was sitting there when Gregoire took office. What happened to all that additional property tax revenue when land values trippled(quadrippled}. Fuel, sales, B&O, Road, etc. tax increases. Crappy Legislation. Just to scratch the surface. Now we are wallowing in debt, cost over runs, and projects that never seem to get off the ground, like the Viaduct to name one. Gregoire and Cher Suck.
GOWASHINGTONSTATE Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - Lol, I think I misread your comment. Whole agreement with you. BTW, in the WA voters pamphlet, Gregoire's short pitch mentions that she took office when there was a $2 billion deficit! WTF, this is a blatent lie that was allowed in.
DevoutDem Says:
Sep 1, 2008 - Dept of Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne has proposed listing polar bears as a threatened species. Under the law this means a species is likely to become endangered in the foreseeable future. The listing is opposed by Alaska Republican Gov. Sarah Palin, who told Kempthorne by letter that listing polar bears has the potential to damage the economy of Alaska without any benefit to polar bear numbers or their habitat, & that there are no human activities that can be regulated to effect change.
DevoutDem Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - The irony is that the vast majority of republican voters have incomes less than 50k per year & they are precisely the people who are being screwed by the oligarchy that runs this country. The oligarchy (the very rich oil companies & people who run corporations) just want to treat people with lower incomes like slaves. So many people are robots and have allowed republicans to eat into their incomes in the last 8 years.
worshil Says:
Oct 15, 2008 - All the democrats seem to hate Dino because business supports him and that just doesn't make sense, business feeds us, clothes us, provides our tools and buildings and cars and books and builds our roads and schools and hospitals and all the rest of our needs and wants and desires. Without business we would have nothing. We can't make it all ourselves and the little guy can't manage the big projects that we depend all the time. So why is it that when industry says yes, the democrats say no?

SkagitIMS Says:
Jan 16, 2008 - Here's a fact check on education: I-732 & I-728 were pushed in the voters' pamphlet with statements such as, "With a $1.1 billion surplus, let's use existing resources for more competitive salaries." and "We can afford to invest in our schools and our future without raising taxes or taking money away from other programs". When the budget had a deficit, Gov. Locke and Sen. Rossi suspended 'em in '03. The education industry in '04 then proposed 884 with a tax increase, then vetoed 3-to-2.
