Jan 7, 2008 - Just a quick comment on Dang San, I think you have played one too many set of drum clicks as compared to Siow Sifu's notes. Also, Charles said the cymbals for Dang San is not played loud anymore from teams in Malaysia, so the clicking can be heard properly.

Jan 7, 2008 - Thats true, some play it with more some play with less. Also not all teams in malaysia play that way. But its true some are going quiet, some are not... Some are playing different so dim variations and Koot fa tau variations. Some I like, some I dont... Not to say that any are wrong.. Its all art, its all expression.. So its good to see the diversity. i like seeing new ideas etc. Thanks for comments guy :)

Jan 8, 2008 - hey luke wat did u strike da gong with a metal stick it sounds like a buddhist temple bell those big bells the monks beat on when praying
TeamWuJin Says:
Jan 8, 2008 - No its a wooden stick but it is a hard one.. The gong has a different pattern on the front its like a bunch of crosses.. Different to last one.. It does sound different. It sounds more crisp, if you hit it right.. I love it.
