Oh boy: here's the biggest project I've ever done. One day I decided to do a cover of a Symphony X song. I quickly learned that it was going to be a lot of work to make it sound good- they're great musicians and getting anywhere close to any of those guys means a lot of practice. Everything except the guitars and violin was done on my Yahama Motif 8. I booked time in a studio with a Neve console for all the guitar tracks- that took a whole night to do. There was then another session getting a friend of mine to play violin for the intro, another week of work, recorded on an SSL on tape. Then I had to sync the taped violin tracks to a Pro Tools session, and finally, back out of the computer and straight into a fucking KILLER SSL console, patching into vintage compressors and EQs, then mastered at the studio I work for. A LOT of work was put into this, I hope you enjoy it. Oh, there's no vocals- I can't sing that high without doing a Mickey Mouse falsetto. Don't use this recording without crediting me first. Enjoy!
