I stopped being pro-cap when I found out about how many marine mammals had died at Sea World and other parks. I stopped going to aquariums and I joined the anti-cap side.... just to tell ya.

Jun 12, 2008 - Maybe none of us want to support cruelty. But most of us do whether we realize it or not, from purchasing items made of fur to eating meat to visiting circuses with animals. We don't usually even think about how the animals in these situations are treated. Jun 30, 2008 - she must have been bored too, locked in those tiney holding tanks at the side, the only thing to look forward to being those silly tricks she was forced to perform every day to entertain us. she was treated as badly as the jews in the hollocost! and many other captive animals and whales are still treated that way! i don't understand how if it's wrong to treat people that way, it's ok, and even seen as right, to treat animals that way. anyone who approves of animal captivity repulses me!

Millions of years of evolution has designed this magnificent creature to live a life in the ocean... and then suddenly they are ripped from their homes, their families, to live in a tank? There is no comparison. Orcas cannot live in a tank - the many deaths of captive orcas are a testimony to that. Orcas a wolves of the sea... we have no right to stop them doing what they do best.
