Jan 16, 2008 - this scene and the one with wash ("We are here in this land and we shall call it... This Land..") are my two favorite. Mal is horrible and that's what makes the character so fun :). Appropriately named as well.

Jan 30, 2008 - Book was not with the rebel he was with the alliance. In one episode he was wounded and the Dr. wasn't available. Out of desparation Mal took him to an alliance ship. They refused to help until Book took out his ID card and then they could not help fast enough.

Jan 30, 2008 - I've seen that episode (several times in fact I just borrowed the box set from one of my friends and have had several marathons of it) and that's what made me really want to see about his past. The rest of him, how he knows what he does and how he's such a good shot etc-that's just kinda mysterious. The thing with the I.D. card, that's very very VERY interesting. He must have been a 5 star general or something to get those troops to move that fast.
