Jan 22, 2008 - Yeah, I'll be purchasing a set of used rods and a crank from a fellow on Yotatech. They are stock and in good shape so hopefully that will take some of the sting out of the cost of rebuilding! Does anyone have some experience building up a 3.0? I'm curious about what others have done to improve performance or did they just keep it stock. I know that there are some/alot of folk out there that don't like the 3.0 but I'm going to give it a try.

Jan 21, 2008 - Not one, not two, but four of the six rod bearings shot. Wow! You may be looking at replacing not only the crankshaft but the rods and caps too. They have to be beat to heck. Keeps us posted on the progress.
